FATAL ACCIDENT AT UPPER BUNDAMBA.
Notice of the death of Master George Guilletmot, son of Mr. Henry Guilletmot, of Upper Bundamba, appeared in our last issue. We are informed that, on Monday last, the little lad, who would have been 10 years of age on the 27th of the present month, met his death through the trunk of a tree accidentally falling on him. Just after dinner he went out with some other members of the family to play in his father's cultivation paddock, taking a tomahawk with him. A fallen tree, not far from the house, was supported in the air by one of its limbs. The boy, using his tomahawk as most lads love to do, cut the limb through, and the trunk fell on him, crushing him to death. The father, who was in the house at the time, was apprised of the accident by one of the other lads, and, on coming quickly out, was shocked to see what had occurred. Great sympathy is felt for Mr. and Mrs. Guillotmot in their sudden bereavement.
