LOWELL -- Velma M. Cornwell, 82, of Lowell, died Dec. 15, 2007, in Springdale. She was born May 8, 1925, in Hailey, Idaho, to William and Alice Velma Rhoades Black.
She retired from Allen Canning Company in Lowell and a member of Faith Full Gospel Church in Lowell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cornwell; one son, Dennis Ragains; and one grandson, Coy Ragains.
Survivors include four sons, Bobby Ragains and wife Frances of Lowell, Pat Ragains and wife Sandy of Watford City, N.D., Frank Ragains and wife Stella of New Campbell, Ala., Dennis Cornwell and wife Nancy of Jerome, Idaho; five daughters, Sheryl Stanphill and her husband Roy of Rogers, Sherrie Ponds and her husband Berry of Hailey, Idaho, Sharon Rogness of Lowell, Mae Furlong and her husband Richard of Springdale and Denis Wright of Lowell; sisters, Vivian Walburn of Asotin, Wash., Barbara Kimberly of Kimberly, Idaho, and Carol Gene Black of Twin Falls, Idaho; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
