Musician. He was a polka musician and leader of the Happy Louie and Julcia's Polka Band. He first started playing brass instruments at the age of nine, playing regularly in public throughout his teen years. He graduated from the Berklee School of Music (Berklee College of Music) in Boston, Massachusetts in 1956. After graduation he joined the US Army. After basic training, he joined the U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point, New York. After discharge, he continued playing around the US and Europe for several decades, and recorded numerous albums. In 1982 he was inducted into the International Polka Association's Polka Music Hall of Fame. In 1995 he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Polka Album. He was married to Julcia Midura and they had four children.
