Russell Leo Hood, 80, of 1726 Brentwood Ave. died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Born June 8, 1918, in Monmouth to Edward and Silva Ramp Hood, he married Mary E. Epley on Nov. 5, 1954, in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Thomas of Galesburg; and one cousin, Wilda Jones of Peoria.
One brother preceded him in death. He was a cost accountant at the former Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corp. for 30 years. He retired in 1982. He graduated from Brown's Business College.
He was a member of Vesper Masonic Lodge 584, AF&AM.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
