At the age of 2, Bonnie was adopted by her parents Russell and Thelma Hunt, whom loved her more than life itself. Bonnie graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1966, then she went on to study at Central Michigan College where she graduated in 1971 with a BA in elementary education. And went on to teach in North Branch Michigan until she retired in 2004,after 33 years of teaching. Bonnie went on to give her services in her community at the North Branch garden club, the North Branch thrift shop, Greenwood cemetery and she worked with Hospice, where she visited residents at the Pines of Lapeer. She also participated in MOPS program at Trinity United Methodist Church. Bonnie faithfully worshipped there. And on March 30,1975 when she accepted God as her Lord and Savior. For the first 65 years of her life Bonnie thought she was a only child, but then in March of 2013 she was miraculously reunited with 5 sisters and a brother. This was truly a gift from God , and her siblings gave her acceptance and unconditional love, that she was always grateful for. Bonnie is survived by 5 sisters Carol ( Jerry) Alter, Mary ( Dave) Phillips. Bonnie ( Jeff) Trimble, Susan Taylor, Debbie ( Robin) Kish. And her brother Michael Ricardo. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. From both adopted and birth families. Also survived by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Thelma Hunt, and her birth mother Betty Riccardi, her brother Billy Riccardi. Bonnie was also preceded in death by PFC Gary Doyle Roerink 11/23,1967 Vietnam) whom she was engaged to.
Anyone who knew Bonnie loved her, a truer friend you could never have.
