Bula Jean Moudy Anderson passed from this life on February 9, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born on April 27, 1926 to Robert Thomas Moudy and Lella Foster Moudy. She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Happy High School and continued her education, receiving a Bachelor's degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and a Master's degree from Texas Tech University. Bula taught elementary school in Florence, Alabama and Texas and Home Economics at Lubbock Christian University. She served as the Home Extension agent in Lamesa for a short time. Later, Bula left education and became a small business owner of "The Yarn Shop" on 34th Street in Lubbock, sharing resources and skills with many.

Bula married Gordon Anderson on September 23, 1977. Bula and Gordon attended Broadway Church of Christ. She was always serving or supporting missions- on the Navajo reservation, in overseas mission areas and even in the prison system. Bula wanted everyone to experience the hope she found in Christ.

Bula was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Tom and Foy Moudy. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Anderson; children, Laura and Quin Skains of Denton, Texas and Scott and Kimberly Anderson of Hartford City, Indiana; her brother, Alvin Moudy and his wife Mary; sister-in-law, Lucy Moudy; 11 nephews and nieces; and many great nephews and nieces.
