A member of the largest class ever to graduate from the nation's largest aerial gunnery school at Harlington, texas, Albert R. Paesano of Wilmerding, last week received his diploma and was advanced to the rank of sergeant as an aerial gunner in the Army Air Forces. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaetano Paesano of 501 Station Street (Wilmerding, PA) Sergeant Paesano has completed 5 weeks of intensive training in class,on the ground and in the air shooting every kind of gun from BB to 50 caliber Brownings. He now rates as an expert combat member of the Army Air Forces' famous "Four Flying Horsemen" fighting combination- gunner, bombardier, navigator and pilot. Unless held over in Harlington to serve as an instructor, he will immediatly be sent to join a fighting unit.

Drew Field Florida. Albert Paesano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaetano Paesano 450 Caldwell Avenue Wilmerding is one of 10 technical sergeants stationed here who were promoted to Master Sergeant February 28th. A graduate of Westinghouse High School, Wilmerding, Class of 1941, Master Sergeant Paesano was employed as a milling machine operator before being inducted into the service August 15, 1942. It was at Fort Meade, MD that he started his Army career which brought him to the top rank for enlisted men.Prior to being transferred to Drew Field, in November 1943, Paesano was stationed at Moses Lake, Washington; Blythe CA; Keesler Field, near Gulfport, MS and Harlington, TX. Master Sergeant Paesano is assigned to duty as line chief in charge of 100-hour maintenance department. He was promoted to Technical Sergeant February 1, 1944.
He met Hazel Eileen Westberry in Sebring, Florida and they were married on October 19, 1946 in Tampa, Florida.
