Paul Sylvester Burgess was born in Concord, NC in 1939. He attended Winecoff School. In later years, he began using the CB Radio and learned how to repair them, so in the 1960's, he began traveling from truck stop to truck stop doing repairs to the CB radios of truckers on the road. He was the first to develop this idea. Later on he had a Winnebago Motor Home at Derrick's Truck Stop, where he serviced the CB radios for many years,. He had been ill for a while and had a severe back injury years ago.
