Kenneth Elden Abbott, age 73, of St. Louis (Gratiot County), Michigan, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at his home.
Kenneth was born October 29, 1946, in St. John's (Clinton County), Michigan, the son of Orval and Reva Eleanor (Baldwin) Abbott. He married Ruth Huber on November 27, 1964.
Ken enjoyed playing and listening to music and spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Amvets, Eagles, Moose Lodge and American Legion.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd (Isabella County), Michigan on October 31 at 11:00 A.M. with Timothy Eldred officiating. There will be visitation on Friday, October 30 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Ken is survived by seven children, Ronald (Cheryl) Abbott, Timothy (Shelly) Abbott and Julie (Jason Mayfield), all of Gratiot County, Michigan, Kenneth (Rosemary) Abbott, of Elwell, Michigan, Christine (Timothy) Heckard, of Weidman, Michigan, William (Tammy) Abbott, of Indiana and Brad (Aimee) Abbott, of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County, Michigan; 43 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Cathy) Abbott, of Farwell (Clare County), Michigan; one sister, Beverly Smith, of Port Huron (St. Clair County), Michigan; several nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Karen Abbott and Rita (Carl) Eisenberger, all of Shepherd (Isabella County), Michigan; Esther (John) Haupt, of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan; Patricia (John) McHugh, of Florida; Penny Danielski, of Blanchard, Michigan, and Larry Bullard, Jerry (Dorothy) Huber, Jim (Nonie) Huber and Bob (Gail) Huber, all of Shepherd (Isabella County), Michigan.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; his brother, Chuck Abbott; brothers-in-law, Ed Huber, Ken Huber and Larry Smith; one nephew, Brian Jackson and his sister-in-law, Donna Bullard.
