She was born in Putnam, Conn. the daughter of the late Lous and Delia (Paquin) Benoit.
She is survived by four sons:
Albert of Worcester; Edward of Pensacola, FL; Henry of Leominster; Raymond of Milford; as well as 12 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. T

The funeral took place at the Murphy Funeral Home, 353 Church Street at 8:15 followed by a solemn high mass at 9:00 at St. John's Church.
The funeral of Mrs. William J. Gagne of 367 Water Street, who died on Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospita, took place this morning from the Murphy Funeral Home, 353 Church Street followed by a solemn high mass celebrated at 9 o'clock at St. John's Church by the Rev. Joseph J. Porrello assisted by the Rev. John F. Cahill, Deacon and the Rev. Peter H. White, Sub-Deacon.
The bearers were: Al Miner and Wayne Cadrette of this town; Wilfred Troville of Hartford, Conn., Eugene Labonte of Putnam, Conn.; Norman Labonte of Milford; and Thomas Brikas of Worcester.
Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.
Prayers at the grave were read by the Rev. Fr. Porrello and the Rev. Fr. White.
