Eugene Montano, age 86, of Telford, TN, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a son of the late Antonio Montano and Lousia Hunick Montano. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings.

Eugene was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic faith and was the owner and operator of Ballard Plumbing, Heating and Air. He was a member of Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino, California. He was a hard worker and he loved to golf, fish and play cards.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laverne Ballard Montano; five children, Laurie Reay and husband Bob, Donald Montano and wife Melinda, Stephen Montano and wife Bettina, Dennis Montano and wife Kristina, and Michael Montano and wife Cindy; thirteen grandchildren, Stephanie, Suzanne, Emil, Blayne, Andreas, Adam, Reed, Haley, Carson, Chloe, Landon, Madelyn, and Chandler; one great granddaughter, Charlotte; and a host of other family members.

A Rosary service will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM with Father Dustin Collins officiating. Committal Service and Inurnment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Garden at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Military honors will be rendered by the Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 and members of the Navy Honor Guard.
