Edward "Ed" Charlton, 56 of Grafton passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown with his family by his side from complications of Covid-19. He was born September 18, 1965 in Philippi, the son of the late William "Bill" Clarence and Martha Deloris Brown Charlton.

Ed attended Grafton High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. He was a Master Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Waste Water Treatment certified and a Dive Master. He worked many years while owning and operating his own construction business Charlton Construction. He took great pride in building custom log homes and was proud of the projects he completed through his business or just helping others. Ed was the winner of the Tough man Contest for several years in a row breaking records.
Ed is survived by two daughters, Alyssa Charlton, of Grafton, Tosha Leach (Keith), Grafton; five grandchildren, Ben, Chloie, Dakota, Willow and Ryder; girlfriend Nancie Propst and her son Hunter Cornwell, Morgantown, mother of Ed's children, Lisa Bolyard Leach, Grafton; three sisters, Laura Lafferty (Lester) Grafton, Tammy Charlton, Canton, OH, Billie Jo Charlton, Grafton; a brother, Joseph Charlton, Grafton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by a brother Clarence Matt Charlton.

Family and friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, Grafton, Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 3:00PM until the time of Ed's Celebration of Life Service at 7:00PM with Pastor Orville Wright officiating.
