Obituary - FRANK A. CASTRO TRUE TO HIS WORD

HE DECLARED HE WOULD WORK UNTIL HE DIED.

Fulfillment came among the Barley sacks out in the Blanco District - Father of Twelve Children

Frank A. Castro, a native of this country and resident of Castroville died suddenly yesterday
afternoon while working among the Barley sacks with C. A. Patterson's threshing crew out at
Blanco.

The deceased was apparently in his usual, not good health and had been at work without
showing any unusual sign of illness until he was seen to fall. He passed away there at the
machine among the sacks. He had not been in robust health for a long time and had been
advised by his physicians not to engage in hard work. He had stomach trouble. He was advised,
instead of working at the thrashing machine, to go home and get stronger, but he replied:
"No; I will work until I drop Dead." He kept his word.

Undertaker Muller went out after the body and brought it in to prepare it for burial. The cause
of death was given as Internal Hemorrhage, proving the diagnosis and advice of his physicians
to be correct. The remains were taken to his home in Castroville this after noon, where the
funeral and interment will be held Sunday.

The deceased was 54 years of age. He leaves a widow Julia castro and twelve children, the
oldest of whom, Pablo A. Castro is employed at the Abbott house. The other children are
Frances, Alexander, Louis, Joseph, Julia, Robert, Nettie, Rebecca, Theresia, Christine and
Agnes the last about two years of age.
