Carrollton (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Brown Gee were held Wednesday afternoon at four-thirty from the Grace Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Gee died Tuesday at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital following a long illness. She was 67
Mrs. Gee was the widow of the late Clinton Lanier Gee. She had made her home in recent years in Greenwood. She was, until her illness, active in music circles and for a number of years was an official with the Alabama State College, Montevallo, Alabama.
Services were conducted by the Reverend Reynolds Cheney of Aberdeen, former rector of Grace Church. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Clinton Lanier Gee Jr. of Sanatorium; four daughters, Mrs. Joe McCain, Mrs. Cora Gee McCullough, Mrs. Charlotte Gee Metts, all of Greenwood and Mrs. Thomas Van Noppen or Madison, North Carolina, her mother, Mrs. James Belton McBride of Arlington. Virginia. one sister, Miss Marjorie McBride of Arlington, and Washington, D. C, and a brother, James Belton McBride, Jr., of College Park. Maryland; and grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clinton Gee III, Joseph J. Gee III, Charles Montgomery, William McCain II, William Parker III. and Ralph Williams Hawkins Jr.
