Annie Bob Chandler Edwards, age 85, formerly of Monticello, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Annie Bob was born and raised in Monticello. Her parents were the late Jason O'Neal Chandler and Bernis Carter Chandler.

She married the late Charles Emory Edwards ("Bunky") of Elberton on June 8th, 1955. She and Bunky traveled the world as he completed his career in the Air Force and returned to Monticello upon his retirement.

Annie Bob made friends everywhere she went and her larger than life personality filled every room. Early in her life she was an accomplished pianist and singer and throughout her life she enjoyed knitting. However, her greatest talent (other than loving her family and talking) was cooking and for that she never met her equal.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lou Ann Edwards. Annie Bob will be forever missed by her family and many others but her spirit, selflessness, and ability to find joy in life will be a standard by which they will all strive.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at 1 p.m. at West View Cemetery in Monticello. The family will officiate.
