MAURICE BASSET April 28, 1939 - August 17, 2016 With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Moe. Moe is survived by his wife Bev; sons, Bob (Kathy) and Ted; daughter Lisa (Chris); son-in-law Brian; grandchildren, Breanne, Tyler, Justin, Jasmine, Alissa (Ben), Nikki, Sam, Michael and great-granddaughter Eleanor; step-daughter Krista (Brock); and their children, Taylor, Tristan and Isabel. He was predeceased by his first wife Jeannie; daughter Laura; daughter-in-law Sandi; granddaughter Amanda; his parents, Joe and Marthe; brother John; and sister Blanche. Moe was an entrepreneurial man from starting Aactive Coin to owning Teddy Bob's Country Bar. He always had a flair for business. His passions were auto racing and billiards. From the Speedway in Winnipeg to his cottage in Grand Forks on the race fairgrounds. Moe will be missed by all his friends and family near and far. A celebration of Moe's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family would like to thank the 7th floor W for all their loving care and compassion.
