Diana Francettia Arrington, treasured mom, Granny, family member and friend, went to be with Jesus on Friday, December 3, 2021.
She was born on November 24, 1942, in Roswell, New Mexico, and just celebrated her 79th birthday.
Diana loved the Lord and everyone she met knew it either by her sweet hugs, smiles and spunky personality or she was sure to tell you about her Jesus and testimony.
She attended South Plains Church and "FuFu" had many dear friends.
Diana didn't know a stranger and worked for many wonderful people through the years that she called her family.
She is survived by her four children, son-in-law, and two daughters-in-law: Scotty Arrington, Ron and Kim Arrington of Lubbock, Alisha and Rick Rawlins of Lubbock, and Bobby and April Arrington of Flagstaff, Arizona; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Don Johnson of Pyatt, Arkansas, Wanda Massey of Aurora, Missouri, and Harold and Judy Arrington of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides Jesus, the love of her life were her six grandchildren, their wives and two great- grandchildren: Robbey, Yasmeen and Stone Arrington of Albuquerque, Marcus and Katherine Arrington of Lubbock, Jay Rawlins of Lubbock, Koby Rawlins of Lubbock, Nate, Hannah, and Kai Arrington of Carlsbad and Zack Rawlins of Lubbock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Arrington; daughter, Baby Sherry; parents, Wilford and Alice Townsend; sister, Sherry Townsend; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Dorothy Johnson and Mary and Charlie Rolland.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, at South Plains Church in Levelland.
The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Diana's memory to Hospice of the South Plains, Windmill Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or Overland Missions (www.overlandmissions.com/donate with memo to Nate and Hannah Arrington).
Condolences can be sent to South Plains Church, 1421 Cactus Drive, Levelland, Texas, 79336.
