Son of Guy and Ada Castleberry. He continued to live with his wife and family in the Chestatee community for the remainder of his years; he attended Salem Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors in the early 1990's. He raised cattle and continued to do so up until his death, visiting the Sale Barn on Tuesdays on Jot'Em Down Road for most of his retired years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Castleberry; brothers, Carol Castleberry and Wayne "Bunk" Castleberry; and sisters, Madelyn Whitmire and Marie Musser*. Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Lynn Strickland, Lori and Shad Faulkner, and Leigh and Jason Clark; seven grandchildren, Aaron Strickland, Braxton, Mary Kate, and Hudson Faulkner, Brody, Bryson, and Bennett Clark; two great grandchildren, Gracelynn and James Strickland; and sister Hilda Bennett.
