He was born July 22, 1960 in Goshen to Deo and Judith (Smith) Growcock.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Growcock.
A West Noble High School graduate, Roderick was a member of the National Honor Society. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Tri-State University, Angola, now known as Trine University. He worked as an engineer at Crown International, manufacturing audio production equipment including speakers and amplifiers.
He was very athletic and enjoyed playing basketball and was an amazing scratch golfer. He especially enjoyed playing locally at South Shore and Maxwelton golf courses.
A modest and humble man, he loved his boys beyond measure."
