Obituary:
Lana Stowell, died at the summer home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Stephen Joslyn, Sunnyside, Ellery, at 3 p.m. Friday, age 95 (Sept. 13, 1929). She is survived by a son, Mrs. John Stowell lived in the Town of Ellery, all her life, and at the time of her death was one of its eldest residents. Funeral services held at Bemus, with Rev. J. C. Hankinson of Sinclairville, officiating. Burial in Red Bird Cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. B. G. Haskins and Mrs. G. W. Thompson. Bearers were: Milton, Clarence and Roy Higgs and George Strong.
