Hazel L. Long, age 85, of Piqua, OH went home to be with the Lord at 4:40 PM on Monday December 13, 2021 at Koester Pavilion, Troy OH. She was born March 19, 1936 in Sciotoville, OH to the late Willard and Freda (Gaines) Bennett. On November 22, 1952 she married Charles F. Long and he passed away May 1987.

Hazel had two daughters: Lois Rue, Fletcher, OH; Patricia Kay Long, Piqua, OH; two sons: Charles Ray Long, Piqua, OH; Daniel and Cheryl Long, KY; one brother Donald Bennett, Chillicothe, OH; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by one daughter: Pamela Adams; two brothers and two sisters.

Hazel enjoyed gardening with her flowers and loved her cat, Charlie. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Hazel worked at Ulbrich's IGA for over 30 years in the meat and deli department.

A celebration of Hazels' life will be Friday December 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, with Ron Leininger officiating, burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
