Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Inez Smith James.
Dot was a member of Welcome Baptist Church for over 20 years. A devout Christian woman, that loved the Lord and her family. She always put her family first with the love and care she gave them. Her sweet spirit and presence will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by son, Wayne Brown (Beth); daughter, Marilyn Needy; son, Paul Brown (Denise); grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Jennifer Brown, and Emily Gibson; two great grandchildren; brother, John James; and sister, Jewell Estes.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Wesley Brown; and five brothers and sisters.
