Danea Demonds Lewis was born on August 3, 1972, to the late James Lewis, Jr., and Mary Ann Jones Lewis of Walnut Grove, MS.
He professed his faith in Christ in the earlier years of his life and joined Greater Bethlehem Temple Church in Jackson, MS; but in the later years re-affiliated with Truelight M. B. Church in Walnut Grove, MS.
Danea received his education at South Leake High School in Walnut Grove, MS; and graduated in 1990.
Danea dedicated himself to his family, children, and friends and would go out of his way to help them as much as possible. He was known for having a big heart and a giving spirit.
Danea was employed with Helmerich & Payne (H&P) Offshore, Inc. and was a dedicated employee for twenty-seven years before retiring.
Danea leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Cassandra Lewis, and family, his two children, Deshunna Body and Demond Lewis, his two bonus children, Anijah and Amarion Riley of Kosciusko, MS; and his mother, Mary Ann Lewis; three siblings, James Shawn (Tammy) Lewis, Laneshia Lewis, and Meosha Lewis all of Walnut Grove, MS; four aunts, Phyllis (John) Lampkin, Barbara (Cliff) Cager, Geniece (Quinton) Cager, and Carolyn (Henry) Battle; two uncles, Frankie (Jeanette) Jones and Billy (Linda) Lewis. Also, left to cherish his memories are two nieces, Ja'Mes Lewis and Shawn Taylor Lewis; two nephews, Dezmund Lewis and DeAndre Lewis; some very special great-nieces and nephews that he cherished dearly, Isaiah Lewis, Riley Kidd, Londyn Lewis, Kamari Lewis, and Kameron Lewis; and very near and dear friends, Sylvester Lewis, Terry Burkes, and Parker.
