Louis de Leeuwe was a son of Barend de Leeuwe and Sientje van Minden. He married Gezina de Jong, a daughter of Bernhard de Jong and Rachel de Levie, at the age of 35 on 2 October 1935 in Rotterdam. The couple had four children, all of whom, along with their mother, were murdered in Sobibor during the Shoah.

Louis de Leeuwe was a factory worker and lived with his family at 1e Looiersdwarsstraat 3 hs in Amsterdam and from 20 September 1941 at 17 Landzichtlaan in Rotterdam Overschie. He was murdered in Amersfoort on October 23, 1942.
