He was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo. He lived in Lawrence, Kan., with his wife, Mary Brand, from 1987 to 1989.
Mr. Brand was chief executive officer and owner of Gaines Poultry Inc. in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the Golden Gloves Assn. and the National Independent Poultry and Food Distributers Assn.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Price and Nick Brand, both of Weatherby Lake; two daughters, Jennifer Brand and Amy Price, both of Weatherby Lake; two sisters, Penny Baylie, Kansas City, Mo., and Paula Von Rotz, Fountain Hills, Ariz.
