Herbert H. 'Butch' Devore, Jr., 70, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday Dec. 23, 2021 in Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus.
Butch was born April 21, 1951, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late Herbert H. Devore, Sr. and Virginia (Vandruff) Devore Bell.
Butch was a retired self-employed landscaper.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Mark Bell.
Surviving is his wife, Ramona L. (Pagliarulo) Devore, whom he married June 3, 1983; four daughters, Jodi Boyd of Colliers, WV, Denise Lyons, and Kelly Bethel both of Mingo Jct, and Holly (Jonathan Smith) of Spencer, WV; four sisters, Brenda Posey of Bellaire, OH, Janet Bell of Barnesville, OH, Sarah Irwin of Mingo Jct., and Eddie Jo Polen of Follansbee, WV; two brothers, Billy (Catina) Devore of Mingo Jct., and Rick (Lisa) Bell of Cambridge, OH; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 3 to 7 pm, at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Additional visitation Thursday morning from 10 am up to the time of the funeral service at noon. Rev. James Hoff will officiate, and burial will take place at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
