Donna Lee Taxes (Hockett), 86, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Belmont Village Senior Living Neighborhood Facility. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas August 16th, 1935, to Dana and Laura Faith Bridwell Hockett. She was the youngest of 5 girls.
Donna worked for the US Department of Commerce - Bureau of the Census for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Francis of Rome parish for many years. Donna was a caring active member of St. Frances of Rome Community for years. She was involved in many of the ministries of service at the church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Phillip Taxes, son-in-law, Jay Dove, and 4 sisters, Audrey Friesen, Gertrude Kilgore, Virginia Shea, and Leona Siegrist
Donna is survived by her 4 children Phillip Stephen Taxes (Kathy), Karen Feldkamp (Vince), Gretchen Dove and Kristen Roy (Greg), 8 grandchildren, Carrie Turner (Wyatt), Brooke Weber (Kevin), Claire and Alan Taxes, Nate Dove, Hannah Triplett (Jake), Sarah Feldkamp, Hallie Roy, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral mass will be at 12:30 pm Friday, December 31, 2021, at St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne Street with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, December 30th, 2021, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews.
