Miriam never married. Miriam Dell Thomas, 66, of Peoria, formerly of Pleasant Hill, died Tuesday, Jan 27, 1987 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria after an extended illness. Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Pleasant Hill, she was a daughter of Clyde and Maude Wells Thomas. She was a retired employee of Stark Brothers Nursery and a member of United Methodist Church of Pleasant Hill. Surviving are a daughter, Julia Thomas of Peoria; two brothers, Kent Thomas of Tucson, Ariz., and George R. Thomas of Pleasant Hill; and a sister, Mrs. Verlie Hoaglin of Pleasant Hill. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill by the Rev. Jeff Rasche. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
