The funeral of Mrs. Harry Thomas was held Saturday afternoon, Aug. 11, 1934 at the Christian church, Rev. Lee Maynard officiating. The minister selected the fitting scripture, Proverbs 31, to portray Mrs. Thomas' life. Pleasant Hill has lost a valuable citizen, one whose sunny disposition and contented life was an inspiration to all. She leaves her husband, mother and three lovely children, who will miss her tender care and love. Mrs. Thomas was 29 years old and enjoyed every minute of life until the past two years when her health failed. She never gave up hope, however. Her many friends mourn her loss sincerely, as well as her grief-stricken family.
