Billy Joe Name, 67, passed away 3:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, in Windsor Estates Health and Rehab. He was born to Reina Name on Aug. 4, 1940, in Kokomo.
Billy worked as a truck driver for over 40 years before retiring in 1995. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed football. He also loved talking on his CB radio.
He is survived by his five children, Jackie Kimmel and her husband Chris, Julia Richardson and her husband Duwayne, Robert Name and his fiancee Denise Lowell, Edward Name and his wife Melissa and Jerry Name and his wife April, all of Kokomo; two siblings, Edith Lock, Kokomo, and Harrison Owen and his wife Teresa, Walton; 10 grandchildren; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Reina Owen; and his stepfather, Harrison Owen.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Ellers Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
