WWI US Army veteran. Enlisted 2 April 1918 in Buffalo, New York. Reported for duty to Camp Dix, New Jersey, assigned to 311th Infantry, 78th Division. Received a Purple Heart, #31363, after being gassed. Returned to the U.S. and received an Excellent character of discharge from Camp Upton, New York on 29 May 1919 at the rank of Private. He received the Conspicuous Service Cross on 20 Jul 1933.

Roy is seen on 1900 Federal Census as Bronislaw.
