Her obituary was published in The Knoxville Journal on June 30, 1927, page 4. It reads as follows:
"TAYLOR - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida. Morton Taylor, wife of Roacoe C. Taylor, of the police department, will be conducted from the late home, 810 North Filth avenue, this morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Charles Cox, assistant pastor of Central M. E. church, South, assisted by Rev. H.F. Templeton, of the Lincoln Park Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Old Gray cemetery."
