Leonard was born to Isabel Tredeau and Walter Louis Dionne. He married Helen Peters on November 14, 1953 at St. Rose of Lima Church. Leonard was an employee of Ropers in Bradley for 36 years, at US Tread & Rail for 1 1/2 years and at Dreshers for 7 1/2 years. He was in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and European Theater. Leonard was a past member of the Moose Lodge, a lifetime member of the Bradley VFW, Bradley American Legion, JR. Achievement Advisor, Scout Master in Cub Scouts, lifetime Union Local #1212, Board Member of the Kankakee County Industrial & Occupational Credit Union. His grestest pleasure was being with his children and grandchildren.
Leonard is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, James & Tracy Dionne of Bourbonnais, and Thomas Dionne of Bradley, IL., one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Laurie Dietrich of St. Anne, IL., three sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Reneau of St. Anne, IL., Joanne Senesac of Peotone, IL., and Joyce & Wayne Miller of Manteno, IL., two brothers and one sister-in-law, Alfred & Theresa Dionne of St. Anne, IL., and Donald Dionne of St. Anne, IL., five grandchildren and their spouses, Justine [Renee Koerner] Dietrich, Megan [Timothy] Allstadt, Katelynn Dietrich, Brittney Draper and Karlie Dionne, and several nieces adn nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
