Mary was born to Frank and Christine Robinson in Leadville, Colorado on March 25th, 1930. She earned her angel wings at the age of 91 on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2021 in Walsenburg, Colorado. She was the 9th of 14 children. She was a tour guide for Ft. Fransico Museum for many years. Folks would wait in long lines for her to be their guide. She knew so much about the history of La Veta and Huerfano County. She later became an adopted grandparent for the kindergarten class at La Veta Elementary for 18 years. She was a grandparent to many students, this helped keep her young.
Grandma Jo was an avid fisherman and hunter. She was the best shot in the county. At the age of 80 she shot a 3-point buck. She enjoyed watching the sportsman channel and ESPN. She loved watching baseball and was the Denver Broncos biggest fan.
She is proceeded in death by both of her parents, Frank and Christine Robinson, her husband Dan Nason, her daughter Jeannette Johannessen and Son-in law, Ed Johannessen, son Danny Nason, Son-in-law, Mark Adams, granddaughter, Shannon Bruce. 4 brothers; Reginald Robinson, Farris Robinson, Clarence Robinson, Charles Robinson; 5 sisters, Beulah Robinson, Fern Robinson, unnamed sister, Velma Hasneck, Elaine Hall, Glenda Lay; Many sister and brother in-laws; Many nieces and nephews.
