Paul K. Wasserman has made the transition to new media. Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 29, 1950, he passed away at his home in Delray Beach Florida on December 30, 2019. Paul leaves behind his brother Alan Wasserman, sister-in-law Clarice Wasserman, nephew Sean, cousin Debra Bigelisen and many friends and listeners on the radio.

Paul was my oldest friend. I come from a small family so friends have to be family. Paul Wasserman was like a brother to me. When we were kids we talked each other into and out of some crazy things, like cutting classes at at Lafayette High School, one of the crappiest schools in New York. (Thanks to Mike Bloomberg for closing the place down 50 years too late for us) We got a much better education watching them tape shows like Jeopardy (Art Fleming), Concentration (Hugh Downs) and GE College Bowl (Allen Ludden). Paul was my last connection to the programming genius of Lou Tomasi, who was not only a mentor, but a father figure. Years after he retired, Paul was remembered by listeners in Detroit , Leamington Ontario and Upstate New York. Recently I tried to talk him out of palliative care, more for selfish reasons since I felt that would admit having to say goodbye, but unlike when we were kids, Paul was in too much pain to listen to my plan of action. It's a good thing too since the day before he passed away, he told me that palliative care was the best decision he ever made. Despite his distaste for some technology, I imagine he was peacefully ushered into the world to come by his beloved Classic FM and BBC on his new Google Home Mini speaker. Goodbye Paul, the suffering is over.
