WILSON, DO. THOMAS R. Age 70, passed away at Allegiance Health August 16, 2012. Tom is survived by his wife Sharon, two sons, the Honorable Thomas D. (Julie) Wilson and Timothy Wilson, both of Jackson, step-daughter Kim (Scott) Meeker, niece Kelly (Chris) Aker, grandchildren, Thomas, Ellen, Claire, Kennedy and Daniel Wilson, Nicole and Aaron Meeker and Zoey Aker, sister, Eileen (Jerry) Parr, brother, Michael (Kim) Wilson, step-brothers, Dave, Chris, Terry and Kim Lapinski, mother-in-law, Yolanda Crabtree, aunt and uncle, Bob And Ellen Frounfelker and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanne (Young, Lapinski) Wilson and his sister, Mary Alice Wright. He was born in Jackson, Michigan December 13, 1941, was a graduate of St. Mary High School and the University of Michigan. After graduation from Medical School in Kansas City, Missouri he served as a Captain and physician in the US Air Force. He then established a family practice in Napoleon, Michigan where he was much loved and appreciated by his patients for thirty five years. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Church on Saturday, August 25, 2012, 10:00 am with Father Tim Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, August 24, 5-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the St. Luke's Clinic or the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like give special thanks to Dr. Aleech and the staff at Allegiance Health. Veterans Honors will be rendered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
