Sherry Dale Martin passed peacefully from this life to the next on December 25th, 2021, at the home of her son in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born June 2nd, 1931, in Mulberry, Arkansas to Kobel and Elgin (Milton) Beneux.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie and his wife, Kristie Gast of Mountain Home, adopted son, David Lumbert and his wife Patty, of Maumelle, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Joshua Freeman of Fort Smith, and Hannah Freeman of Mountain Home, nephews Steve Coleman and his wife Barbie of Bixbey, OK. and Mike Coleman and his wife Teresa, of Alma, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Gloria Coleman and her husband, James, and nephew, Ricky Coleman.
Sherry was a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church. She was the payroll supervisor for the Automotive (Mid America Industries) for 34 years until it closed, then served in the same capacity for WestArk Garments until she retired. She loved the monthly gatherings of all of the retirees from the Automotive.
She was an avid reader, loving pet owner, loyal friend, and the best mom that a boy could have had. She died as she lived, on her own terms. She will be greatly missed by all of the souls she touched.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
