Mrs. Capps was born July 31, 1942, in Greenbrier County, West Virginia to the late Andy and Mary Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Kenneth Capps who died in 2015; son, Kenneth Wayne Capps and great grandson, Christopher Goodlake.
Barbara grew up in West Virginia and travelled to Germany to be with her husband while he was in the service. She had lived in Buncombe County since 1980. Barbara enjoyed reading and was a sweet-souled, good- spirited person who was very principled, loved life, and never had anything bad to say about anyone. She was a Christian and loved her family.
Surviving are her son, David William Capps; brothers, Charles and Lloyd Bennett; grandchildren, Staci Reid and Shanna Capps and five great grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Rev. Dalton Ramsey will officiate.
