We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2022 we had to say goodbye to James George Kalemeris of Tampa, Florida, born in Chicago, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16th 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home (4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 16th 2022 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
A committal service will be held on Sunday, January 16th 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park (5048 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610).
James "Jim" George Kalemeris, 94, Tampa, FLA passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Jim was born December 13, 1927 in Chicago, ILL to Celeste and Stanley George Kalemeris. He proudly served his country in both the United States Army and in the United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida College of Building Construction. He established Kalemeris Construction, Inc. in 1959.
Jim and his wife Joyce are members of Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lutz, FLA. He was a longtime member of Associated Builders & Contractors, Kiwanis, Rotary Club and CABA.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother Stanley and sister Vera. He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce, son George of Ft. Myers, daughters; Celeste and Faye of Tampa, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Visitation for James will be held Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Funeral Service at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories 4207 East Lake Ave., Tampa, FLA 33610. A Committal Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4228 East Lake Ave., Tampa, FLA 33610.
