Alcey and John were the parents of 12 children, including sons Richard Apperson and Randolph Walker Apperson. Richard is the father of Alcy Ann (Apperson) Ausbrook, wife of Thomas Ausbrook. Alcy Ann and Thomas Ausbrook are the parents of John M. Ausbrook. Randolph is the father of Phoebe Elizabeth (Apperson, wife of George Hearst.
