Jordan "Spank" Marshon Atwater-Lewis age 17, was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 19, 2004 to Calysha L. Atwater and Terez Thomas, Sr. Jordan transitioned from this life on December 29, 2021 in Urbana, Illinois. He was baptized in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, at a younger age.

Jordan attended Washington Early Childhood Preschool, King Elementary School, Urbana Middle School, Urbana High School, and Urbana Adult Education. He was employed by Home Depot and he also worked at Burger King and Walmart. His notable accomplishments include being an honor roll student at King, a clarinet player in the band at Urbana Middle School and a member of both the football and basketball teams at Urbana High School. In addition to his school-related activities, Jordan played 1st String baseball at Douglass Center, basketball at Urbana Park District and was a member of the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club, where he also played sports. His passion was creating music and playing video games. His dreams were to pursue a music career and enlist in the United States Marines to become an engineer.

Jordan was a loving respectable young man who impacted a lot of people's lives. He had an infectious smile that would warm your heart, a laugh that would brighten your day and a warm heart that made you feel safe. Jordan will always be in our hearts, and he will truly be missed.

He is survived by his mother and father; 3 sisters, Londyn M Atwater, Zyann Thomas and Lynae Cox; 3 brothers, Terez Thomas, Jr., Zyair Thomas and Marseilles Greer; aunts, Sheena Marshall and Alexis Bishop; uncles, Vontay E Marshall, Kameron Marshall, Darta Bishop and Alexander Bishop; maternal grandmother, Joanne Lewis; paternal grandmother, Gladys Fancher; maternal great-grandparents, Joe and Lucy Lewis and a host of family and friends.
