Rosaline L. Schrock Hardesty, 96, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, W.Va.

Born on Oct. 9, 1911, in Aurora, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Maria E. Legg Schrock and Ernest W. Schrock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David B. Hardesty; one son, David "Ed" Hardesty; one daughter, Lou Ellen Hardesty Wilkens; two sisters, her twin, Ernestine Sipes, and Margaret Knode; and one daughter-in-law, Leona Hardesty.

For the past two years, Rosaline had been a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home. While there, she participated in the Red Hat Society, church services, and weekly bingo. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland.

She is survived by one son; one daughter; grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends were received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was held in the chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 26, with the Rev. David Moon and the Rev. Kris Hardesty officiating.

Interment followed in the Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were the grandsons of the deceased and a dear friend, Mark Arnold.
