BOYERS, William Miles "Popsi"Age 90 of Hendersonville, passed away August 7, 2008. Mr. Boyers attended East Nashville High School, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 40 years of service, and was a member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Boyers, and grandson, Johnny Houdeshell . Mr. Boyers is survived by his wife of 71 years, Helen Boyers; one and. (Nancy) Boyers; one daughter of Hendersonville ; Three grandsons, , two granddaughters. and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 3 p.m., from the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michael Williams and Rev. Lynn Strother-Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Active Pallbearers - eight named, Honorary Pallbearers will be the Companion Sunday School Class of HFUMC and the 8:30 service ushers of HFUMC. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to may make memorial donations to the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Hendersonville Memory Garden and Funeral Home.
