"Lester E. Fegley, 81, Maidencreek Township, died Aug. 22, 2008 at 1:05 a.m. in ManorCare, Muhlenberg Township.
He was the husband of Jean E. (Bear) Fegley, whom he married Sept. 4, 1948. They would have been married 60 years this year.
Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Ruscombmanor Township, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary A. (Cronrath) Zuber.
Lester was employed 43 years in the shipping department by Pinnacle Refrigeration Co., retiring in 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.
Lester served in the Army during World War II in Italy.
He was a legionnaire of Horace M. Kieffer, Post 625, Fleetwood, and an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Also surviving is a daughter, Brenda J. (Fegley), wife of Ernest Weller, Fleetwood; and a son, Mark D. Fegley, Blandon.
In accition, there are two grandchildren, Laura J. (Kemmerer), wife of Seth Walizer, and Leslie Kemmerer, both of Fleetwood.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Fleetwood Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to services.
