Gordon G. Bahr, 94, widower of Marian (Garber) Bahr, of Manatawny Manor, formerly of Boyertown, died Saturday Jan. 2, 2016 at Manatawny Manor. Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Flossie (Groff) and Raymond G. Bahr. He was a graduate of Boyertown High School. He served in the Army during WWII. He was the owner and worked at Bahr General Store most of his life. Gordon was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown. He was a life member of Liberty Fire Company in New Berlinville, Keystone Fire Company in Boyertown and Gabelsville Athletic Association. He was a member of Washington Camp #104, P.O.S. of A in Boyertown, the American Legion, Charles B. Yerger Post #471 in Boyertown. Gordon was also an avid tennis player and enjoyed spending time at the Boyertown Senior Center. Surviving is one son Gary Lee Bahr of Oakland Park, Florida. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
