Carol Ann Jagielski, age 78, of Maumee, OH passed away January 12, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. She was born November 22, 1943 in Toledo to Norman and Sophia (Kurek) Merritt. Carol retired from Anne Grady May of 2003. She enjoyed going to the casinos, bingo, camping, but most importantly spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck, Larry and Bob Merritt. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Jagielski, Sr.; children, Julie Gill, Joseph (Teresa) Jagielski, Jr. and John (Traci) Jagielski; grandchildren, Miranda (Tyler) Shepherd, Joseph (April) Jagielski, III, Chandler Blades, Jamey Blades, Alise Bernard, Jett Berger, Jaydon Berger, Sageon (Kelsey) Jagielski, Mackenzie Schnapp and Mason Jagielski; great-grandchildren, Sophia Shepherd, Cayden Shepherd, Madalyn Shepherd, Amelia Jagielski, Noah Blades and River Blades; sisters, Angie Fassold, Rosie (Bob) Marksch, Patty Case and Kathy (Dave) Blowers; her feline companions, "Fireball" and "Sox" and her canine companion, "Diamond."
The family will receive guests Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, 104 West Broadway Street, Maumee. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Maumee, Cemetery.
