Ovean Billy Henderson 93 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday March 22, 2021.

Ovean was a U.S. Navy WW2 Pearl Harbor survivor. He adored his family, spending time with them, and loved them very much. He was a thumbs up man, always giving everyone he saw a big thumbs up and smile.

Survivors include his children; Bobby (Helen) Gene, Roger (Terry Joan) Dale, Brenda Lou Haus, and Linda Sue Olcese, His sister Mary Garlin, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Betty Lou Henderson, son Ovean Billy Henderson JR, and his granddaughter Betty Pauline Lee who they raised as their own daughter.

Funeral Services for Ovean will be conducted at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center on Friday March 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with calling from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Arrangements are entrusted to Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana.

, 72, passed away at Hendricks Regional Health early Tuesday morning. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas to Ovean Bill Henderson, Sr., and the late Betty (Fernback) Henderson. "Bill" married Elaine Wentworth July 17, 1965. He had been in the janitorial and custodial service most of his life. "Bill" had worked at RCA in Indianapolis for 22 years, and had retired from the Avon Community Schools in 2010 after 20 years of service.

At "Bill's" request, there will be no services following cremation.

Survivors include his father, "Bill", Sr., of Indianapolis, wife of almost 55 years, Elaine, children, Liz Downey of Crawfordsville, Rose (Dave) Mason of Bainbridge, Ovean "Billy" Henderson III of Danville, 9 grandchildren, brothers, Roger (Joan) Henderson of Spencer, Bob (Helen) Henderson of Eminence, Linda Olcese of Greenwood, and Brenda Haas of Indianapolis.
