Loretta Lucille Davidson Boyd, 84, of Bassett, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Franklin Health and Rehab Center.

She was born on August 4, 1937, in Carroll County to the late John Davidson and the late Ethel Jennings Davidson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Hooker; brother, B. J. Davidson; sisters, Joy Bryant and Madeline Sharp.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Robin Ball (Carl) of Bassett; grandchildren, April Rigney (Chris) of Roanoke and Amanda Spangler; 3 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Chappell, Danielle Chappell, and Landon Rigney; brother, Cecil Davidson (Louise) of Austinville; sister-in-law, Faye Davidson; special niece, Judy D. Hodges; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where the funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ron Peal officiating. Burial will be private at Roselawn Burial Park. Due to the governor's requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
