DAVID B DERR

David B. Derr, 86, of Lansdale, died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Pine Run Retirement Community, Doylestown. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Schaffer) Derr.
Born May 15, 1935 in Hatfield, he was the son of the late Obediah B. and Kathryn (Barracliffe) Derr.
He worked as an engineer with J.W. Rex in Lansdale and later as east coast sales representative for Park Chemical Co., Chicago. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansdale, and a member of Shiloh-Macalla Lodge No. 558 F.&.A.M., Souderton. David was very dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Scout Master of Troop 61.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Ann Derr of Lederach and Donna Lynn Nicolazzo of North Wales; three grandchildren, Paul M. Gensert (Taylor Kemmerer) of Lederach, Renee A. Kirk (John C.) of Lansdale, and Christopher A. Gensert (Joni Steele) of Lansdale; six great-grandchildren, Brooke, AJ, Nahni, David, Lillith, and Jackson. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Obediah Derr Jr. and Edward Derr, and sister, Deborah Donato.
Friends and family are invited to call from 12:00-1:00 PM, Sunday, January 23rd at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed at 1:00 PM by a Masonic Funeral Service and Memorial Service. Interment will be private in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446.
