Debra E. Acker, 68, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born on April 11, 1953, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Phyllis (Gross) Armstrong. On August 23, 1975, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte, she married her beloved husband, Lawrence "Larry" Acker, who survives at home after sharing over 46 years of marriage together.

Debra graduated from Penn State University in 1975 with her bachelor's degree in music education. She dedicated her life to raising her family and taking care of their home, a job that she was proud to do.

In addition to her husband, Larry, she is survived by one son, Jeremy Acker, of Dravosburg, Pennsylvania, and a granddaughter, Gianna Acker, also of Dravosburg.

Debra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte. She was past Children's Choir director, past senior choir member, and past member of the Bellefonte Community Band. She enjoyed crafting, painting, sewing, and spending time with her granddaughter.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
